Itinerary:

Day 1 — Dar es Salaam → Morogoro (SGR) → Mikumi National Park

  • Catch the morning SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro—a scenic ride with comfort and no traffic stress. On arrival in Morogoro, our safari guide will pick us up and drive straight to Mikumi National Park.
  • After check-in and lunch, we head out for our first game drive in Mikumi’s famous floodplains. Expect giraffes towering over the acacias, elephants crossing in herds, zebras in their hundreds, and if lucky, lions resting in the grass.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge/camp

Day 2 – Full Day Safari in Mikumi

  • Today is all about a full-day adventure! After breakfast, we dive deep into Mikumi, exploring its wide savannahs and hidden corners. This is the park that many call the “mini Serengeti,” and you’ll quickly see why—huge open plains full of wildlife and a backdrop that feels endless.
  • We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing the drive, watching hippos in the pools, birds filling the sky, and predators waiting for their moment. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and storytelling under the stars.

Day 3 – Morning Game Drive → Morogoro (SGR) → Dar es Salaam

  • We begin with an early morning game drive, when the air is cool and animals are on the move. It’s your last chance to capture that perfect wildlife moment—whether it’s a lion pride, hyenas, or the sunrise shining over the savannah.
  • After breakfast, we head back to Morogoro, where you’ll catch the SGR train back to Dar es Salaam. By the time you arrive in the city, you’ll already be wishing you had one more day in the wild!
