Itinerary:
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
- Early morning pickup from Arusha or Moshi for a 2-3 hour drive to the enchanting Tarangire National Park.
- A thrilling game drive among old baobab trees and vast herds of elephants, alongside zebras, giraffes, and diverse birdlife.
- In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu (1.5 hours) for an overnight stay in the lush highlands.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater & Drive to Central Serengeti
- Set out early for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area; descend into the world-famous UNESCO crater for a spectacular morning game drive filled with predators. If you lucky, you may see the endangered black rhino!
- After a picnic lunch, enjoy a breathtaking 3-hour drive across the Ngorongoro rim into the legendary Serengeti, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive.
- Overnight in Central Serengeti lodge or a camp.
Day 3: Central Serengeti
- Spend the entire day immersed in the Central Serengeti, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.
- Track lions, leopards, cheetahs, and witness endless plains teeming with wildlife, before returning to your comfortable lodge for another magical night under the intense Serengeti skies.
- Overnight in the same lodge as the night before.
Day 4: Serengeti sunrise & Return to Karatu
- Begin with an exhilarating sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, when wildlife is most active.
- After lunch, retrace your way past the scenic Ngorongoro rim and arrive in Karatu by evening for a restful overnight stay surrounded by rolling hills.
Day 5: Lake Manyara & Return to Arusha/Moshi
- A short drive (30 minutes) brings you to the beautiful Lake Manyara, home to hippos, flamingos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.
- After a rewarding morning safari and lunch, journey back to Arusha or Moshi (3-4 hours), arriving by evening with unforgettable safari memories.
- Optional Maasai village culture visit (extra fee, 70 USD/person)
