Overview:
Depart from Arusha or Moshi in a private helicopter and glide toward Africa's highest peak. Circle above glittering glaciers and century-old ice, catching sunlight where few humans ever stand. Float beyond the clouds of Kilimanjaro and sweep across endless plains below. This 4-5 hour trip offers 2 hours of pure time on board, with a possible inter-landing, picnic and a walk on the mountain itself. Flights are available all-year round. However, weather conditions in April and May may limit flight options.

Itinerary:
A pick-up from your location (private car)
• Pick-up from your accommodation early morning - before 6am, depending on what location you are based at.
• Drive over to one of the available heliports of your choosing - we will organize this for you in advance.
• Early mornings are best for flying. It's the best to take off around 7am, as clouds start forming around 8:30-9:00am. The peaks are usually hidden by 10:30-11:00am, which signals ideal time to head back down.
Scenic Flight over Mt. Kilimanjaro (2 hours in the air, 4-5 hours total with inter-landing)
• You will embark on the helicopter and head over to the Kilimanjaro peaks.
• You will spend 2 hours on board in the air, and additional time during a landing on Mt. Kilimanjaro - the time spent there depends on you.
Inter-landing on southwest Kilimanjaro - Shira Plateau
• Enjoy an epic inter-landing on Mt. Kilimanjaro, which will take place on the southwest side of the mountain, on the Cathedral on southwest Shira Plateau.
• This stunning spot offers panoramic views and it's a perfect spot for a breakfast picnic (40 USD/person)
• You'll be able to take a short walk - you'll find giant groundsels, lobelias, everlasting flowers, and possibly even a bushbuck or klipspringer and other local fauna and flora.
Return to the base:
• Once you've enjoyed the scenic flight, your inter-landing and a walk, you'll return back to the base.
• Drive back to your accommodation.
*** Information about the amount of passengers***
• With landing (at Shira Plateau): the helicopter capacity is limited due to 4 passengers only, due to the aircraft performance at high altitudes (12,500 ft) where the aircraft performs different than at regular/low altitude.
• Without landing: We can accommodate 6 passengers without landing, but we recommend landing and walking on the surface of Mt. Kilimanjaro for the best experience.
