Itinerary:
Day 1 — Arusha / Moshi → Tarangire National Park
- Early morning pickup from Arusha or Moshi for a 2-3.5 hour drive to the enchanting Tarangire National Park.
- Scenic journey through Maasai villages, rolling plains, and open countryside
- Arrival at Tarangire and start of an extended game drive focused on elephant photography
- Explore riverbeds, savannah grasslands, and baobab-dotted landscapes
- Observe large elephant families, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and a variety of birdlife
- Picnic lunch inside the park with excellent wildlife photography opportunities
- Continue game drive in the afternoon as elephants gather near water sources
- Late afternoon transfer to your selected accommodation
- Dinner and overnight inside Tarangire National Park / in Karatu town
Day 2 – Tarangire National Park → Arusha / Moshi
- Early breakfast at the lodge or camp
- Morning game drive in Tarangire, taking advantage of soft early light and peak wildlife activity.
- Focus on close encounters with elephants, capturing unique behaviors and interactions
- Spot predators such as lions or leopards if lucky, along with abundant plains game
- Return to the lodge or camp for brunch or early lunch
- Afternoon return drive to Arusha or Moshi, arriving in the late afternoon
